EnviroVeg Program

The EnviroVeg Program is a highly-successful and industry-led environmental program for Australian vegetable growers.

The basic annual self-assessment program is offered free to all National Vegetable Levy paying growers throughout Australia. There are currently over 400 growers Australia-wide who are part of EnviroVeg. They experience benefits from program materials, including:
  • The EnviroVeg Manual
  • Seminars, field days and workshops
  • Regular monthly updates and communications
  • Quarterly emails with relevant industry information and news

EnviroVeg Gold
Once growers have submitted a minimum of one Self-Assessment and achieved a score of 85% or greater and submitted an Environmental Action Plan [file download] to AUSVEG they can then opt to move to higher levels of membership.

EnviroVeg Gold members will receive gate signage at no cost. This signage allows Gold members to demonstrate their environmental stewardship and high standards to their neighbours, visitors and local community.

EnviroVeg Platinum
Moving to higher levels requires the grower to subject their operation to third party audits which require additional proof of compliance. Auditing costs are met by the grower. In return, participating growers are rewarded through increased recognition of their environmental performance and access to rewards such as use of the EnviroVeg logo in their businesses.

With considerable interest from consumers in the environmental efficacy of products they consume, environmentally-responsible growers are at an advantage in communicating to industry and supply chains that they are caring for the environment. Consumers want to know that the products they are using are sustainable and business partners want to know that the companies they deal with are ethical. EnviroVeg provides Australian growers with the ability to measure their activities against other growers and ultimately progress to auditing their performance through the Program’s new ‘Platinum’ level scheme.
